I will do you one better. Recently we spent millions rebranding TransLink so why not just bring everything under the refreshed Translink Branding

We spent millions to change the colour and copy someone else’s logo? I assumed it looked like that because it was in house / on the cheap?

You’ve got QLink as the master brand and sub brands of:
QLink Trains
QLink Buses
QLink/GLink Trams
QLink Ferries
QLink Travel (long distance trains)

Good name, but Q-Link was used for the name of a type of freight service that Queensland Rail operated.
Viz:
Queensland Rail operates two non-bulk freight services: (i) Q-Link
provides a ‘traditional’ service of the type common in the precontainer age, accepting small consignments (less than a container
load), carrying freight in louvre vans, and operating trains that
deliver to several towns en route, (ii) QR Express Freight trains carry

My issue with Qlink is that it’s the callsign of a bunch of Qantas link branded airlines/ services

I say keep the TransLink branding for all Citytrain, Bus services including Metro, ferries etc and TransLink would also maintain and inherit assets from Queensland rail etc.
But for Long Distance Trains, spin it off into a seperate agency that brings back the Traveltrain Branding
But why?
They merged April 2009 which would have been the Bligh government
Personally I think that they should resurrect Q Connect but for long distance services, and cross branded with private operators for subsidized or contracted rural coach services like they do in Victoria for coach runs to Adelaide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkje87w9o70 like the greyhound runs to mount Isa, the Murray’s runs to St George/Cunnamulla, QR Railbuses, etc…, then the local PT services could be branded as translink + region name like translink southeast for SEQ translink North for Townsville+Mackay, translink central for Rockhampton.
