translink has finally uploaded printable timetables for Clarks and Bus Queensland services affected by BNBN.

About time, uploading them the Friday before new services being on a Monday is simply unacceptable IMO. Should’ve been out by last Monday at the latest.
I’m also a little surpised they didn’t review the 560 timetable. I understand it isn’t directly affected by the changes, but it hasn’t been updated since 2021, and is becoming quite unreliable. An update so timing reflects reality would’ve been nice.

Well, the big day is nearly here. As far as I can tell, they have stuck with their plans as promulgated. I hope it all goes well.

Not all of them - the new 555 timetable is notably absent. The new one for the 572-575 & N555 is there though (and others like the 569).
EDIT: go have a look at the printable version of the 572-575 & N555 and see if you can spot how they’s effed it up! Hint: check the map…

The new part time route 26 starts tomorrow morning. RBH to Upper Mount Gravatt
The 370 is now the 338 which goes down Ann and terminates at Post off Sq
The 376/379 is now the 347/348 going via Queen St to the GPO near Creek St.
Two artics from Sherwood (1651 and 1652, both Volvo B8RLEA Optimus) have been transferred to Eagle Farm these past few days and are now being used for Blue Glider service.

Now that route 333 goes through to Woloongabba on tbe map, the M2 line has to do a hop prior to Roma St. Interesting solution.
Brisbane Times reported that the Translink journey planner crashed and smart card readers weren’t working on the M1 metro.

How did everyone’s commute go this morning? I did a 569 Loganholme to 8MP, then M1 8MP to City Hall/KGS. Here are some observations:
The Loganholme commuter carpark was absolutely packed by 7:10am! For a Monday, that has been practically unheard of in the post COVID/WFH era. My suspicion is that people along the 570/571 route have decided that if they have to interchange at Loganholme, they may as well drive there themselves and save some time.
569s are now running at 7.5 minute frequencies through most of the AM peak, and when we got there, there was a fair queue of people (no worse than normal). The board showed 569s arriving in 2mins and 5 mins respectively, which was a reduced wait for us than the previous average. Both buses came in on time, arriving as other routes (one was a 552, the other I didn’t catch, but there were already people on board). A win for us, for today - I hope it continues.
Coming into 8MP and it was pretty packed - the 569 could only let me off of the front door. That aside, it was a very smooth interchange - the 569 pulled in behind an M1 sitting at the platform.
Leaving 8MP I almost had the whole M1 to myself - only one other passenger from there. Now, I THINK two M1s came in together, of which I was on the second - that would explain the low usage. More people got on gradually through the route, but it remained empty enough that I felt fine giving my backpack the seat beside me.
Also of note, the Go Card readers were in “Please Wait” mode for most of the trip - free ride for anyone not interchanging.
There was a bit of a bus queue coming into Upper Mt Gravatt - the M1 had to wait a minute or two for the platform to free up. I wasn’t expecting to experience this here, and the stations I was expecting it at (basically Buranda - Cultural Centre) were almost all clear sailing. Not even a wait at the Busway Tunnel - straight out, onto Melbourne Street and across Grey St without stopping. Slight wait at Cultural Centre, but I don’t think the M1’s wheels completely stopped at all.
However, there was a queue over half of the Victoria Bridge - my guess is that you have a layout designed for the majority of high frequency buses going left for Adelaide Street and the new tunnel, but for now the majority goes straight ahead, and the lane for that is too short to accommodate it. It took a few light sequences to get through that, leaving the M1 running a couple of minutes behind.
One last observation - with the typeface they use of the Metro buses, “M1” looks like “111” just with the first “1” appearing backwards.

Looks like my experience of the M1 card reader being offline was not an isolated incident:

The card readers on the new Metro bendy buses are not working this morning, but commuters seem hardly upset about free travel on this grey, drizzly Monday.
Under the new Metro system, travellers are required to change buses midway through their journey on the busway.
Councillor Ryan Murphy has assured commuters this morning they will still be charged only 50 cents, no matter how many buses they catch on*
