Minor timetable changes - Brisbane City routes
Last reviewed: Thursday 16 Apr 2026 at 11.53am
From Monday 20 April, thereâll be minor timetable changes to some Brisbane City bus routes to better reflect journey times.
If you travel on these services, your bus may arrive or depart slightly earlier or later than previously.
To see how your timetable is changing, please plan your journey using a date from Monday 20 April or check your updated timetable.
From what I can see itâs only shifting time around within trips rather than changing total trip times. Nice to see some improvement but still no where near enough.

Looks like a new stop was added for 61 Maroon CityGlider. With this change it also means inbound 375 and 377 will no longer be using this stop.
Interesting that these are Clarks owned and not TMR leases (according to the driver anyway).
Love the TransLink coloured interior, looks pretty smart.
Maybe itâs just due to trackwork, but Iâve been having a lot of trouble getting a 555/551/561/581 from Upper Mount Gravatt to Springwood this week. Theyâre all packed. Iâm seriously considering if next week I should take a 569 to Loganholme, then a 555 backwards.
I have a suspicion the translink journey planner is sending people to those routes instead of the railbuses for certain trips as they might be faster.
The same happened on past closures when the 566 was still in operation: faster from the city, and a quick change at Beenleigh for a train to the GC.
I wonder if a good operating mode for the near future is to run the 555 to Springwood then express to Buranda, and then the M1 services the stops inbound of that? Those who need to access the stations in between could then change at Springwood?
If 555 runs express between Springwood and Buranda, how do passengers transfer to M1? It at least needs to stop at Eight Mile Plains.
Iâm not sure it will fix the issue, anyway. Just from my personal observations, most passengers are disembarking at Rochedale and Springwood. The real solution is either increased frequency, bigger buses, or both.
Iâm not sure if itâs widely known, but the 555 doesnât increase its frequency during peak hours at all. Extra capacity is entirely reliant on other services, such as the 551, 561, 573, 575 and 581.
I think it would be very helpful if Clarkâs and/or TMR would invest in enough artics to make the 555 be all artics, at least until 7 pm or so.
That would be in conjunction with M1 services running to Springwood instead of Eight Mile Plains.
How long has Translink listed the Skygate-Airport bus service on itâs system for?!
Interesting that itâs there with a timetable, wonder if you can now plan routes that avoid AirTrainâŚ
You can, but I donât think you can specifically exclude it. Results below are for Cannon Hill interchange to Domestic Terminal after 9 am on Tuesday.
I guess you could turn off trains entirely I guess.
But still - good feature, especially as itâs funny how the 590 & Skygate service is faster (and cheaper!) than AirTrain
Wow, finally they are integrating the Skygate bus. Good find ![]()
Hopefully they will extend it to match the last services of the 590.
Itâs not faster, it just happens to leave closer to the time I chose.
Option 1 is 1:21. Option 2 is 1:09.
Wouldnât be much help to people who need to connect to the 590 by train. Translink needs to have an âexclude Airtrainâ button.
Given the state of the app I fear thatâs wishful thinking
The problem with the skygate bus is that it only runs while the shopping centre is open, until about 6pm especially if your an international arrival because a lot of international flights are scheduled to arrive after 5pm and by the time you have cleared immigration and customs, especially if you have anything to declare its too late, and your only options if you are not being picked up is airtrain/taxi/rideshare.
Yeah BAC and TMR should work together to firstly extend the terminal bus to match the first and last service of the 590 and secondly increase the terminal bus from every 30 mins to every 20 mins or better.
The Gold Glider also needs to go to Skygate from day 1 as well.
