It seems that translink doesn’t have much faith on the Metrobuses for the upcoming weekday closure of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines, because TWO special routes will operate on the SE Busway to the CBD between the 22nd and 26th of September.
- R888: Eight Mile Plains to City, express non-stop via busway and Captain Cook Bridge, with CBD stops at Elizabeth St 84, Creek St 149A, Ann St 8 and 12.
- 16: Garden City Depot to Queen Street Terminal, all stops via South Bank. (Yes, literally the 160.)
That’s alongside the M1 and 555.
