It’s great to see all these ads on the internet advising people of closures and disruptions on the bus and train network in the coming months. I really like TMRs approach of advising people rather than leaving them in the dark.
Even on weekends at the Valley station there are voice announcements now advising trains are running 3-5 mins late. This is replicating Sydney’s approach with automated triggered announcements. A huge improvement to what it was last year. I hope TMR/Translink continue its efforts to advise people of disruptions and delays as they occur or planned.

And this is why you don’t leave things like this to the last minute!
It’s amazing that the traffic to the site actually caused it to crash as lots of people especially tourists use Google maps or Apple maps to plan their journey.

I feel like route 19 should be free during the closure as it’s really just a supplemental service of route R591.

This is a really clear diagram. Better than anything I’ve seen at Boggo Rd busway station for the CRR track closures (which is a confusing place for people unfamiliar with the layout of the busway).
There was almost non-stop chatter over the radio about this on the 130 I was on. I just transferred to an M1, so I can see what all the fuss is about!

Crazy that there’s no official online mention of rail transfer at Buranda. Easily the best way to clear the backlog.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes services to return to normal. Even if the tunnel ventilation gets fixed, many routes are delayed by over 30 minutes which is going to cause chaos with timetabling for a few hours.
The Translink service update now mentions transferring at Buranda, maybe they’re reading this forum
