They’re metal plates covering open excavations.
One or two plates have been there for a while now, also causing a speed restriction. Bit of a joke for 1 year old very expensive infrasture

The station is older, but you’re right on some of the modifications in that station are really buggy. The doors are constantly tripping up and something is still off with the HVAC dealing with something underground leaking or exposed (it constantly stinks of sewerage).
Yarrabilla on-demand service started on Monday - this one crept under the radar a bit.

I did an assessment on Yarrabilba for university a few years ago. A place like that could really do with a service like that so I’m very happy for the residents there.
