Not directly transport related, but I found this intriguing, and thought others might, too.

Why neighbouring suburbs have a 15-year difference in life expectancy

"Women living in the Brisbane suburb of Murarrie are dying 15 years younger than those in neighbouring Cannon Hill, according to new research mapping health outcomes across the city.

The University of Queensland study used train stations as geographic markers to collect health data and determine average life expectancy."

In all seriousness though, interesting read. Fascinating to think about that someone down the line has completely different expectancy simply to being in a different neighbourhood
