Interesting that 1079 was towed into Roma Street rather than running under its own steam. Was a reason given for that?

1079 was for static display at Roma St, there is another Bety (1089) in steam doing the tour.

Bit of shame that the steam tour was on Thursday rather than the weekend, but hope everyone who attended had fun

Agreed. I hope it is the first of more regular steam excursions through the inner city. I’m looking forward to the Ekka steam services.
