Translink has announced today that no ferry services will run from 8am to 10am tomorrow morning due to industrial action between crews and the operator, RiverCity Ferries. The F1, F11, F12, F21, F22, F23, & F24 services will be affected, and while service is expected to resume from 10am Translink advises that additional disruptions may occur at short notice. Replacement bus services have not been arranged this time, and commuters have been instructed to make alternative travel plans.
This disruption comes as industrial disputes with Queensland Rail continue to wreak havoc on the network. This closure will no doubt push even more passengers onto the already overloaded bus & train networks, introducing further delays and discomfort for all users. BTQ also highlights the short notice given. While we understand that circumstances change, the travelling public must be given as much notice as possible in order to allow riders to make alternative arrangements.
