BCC's Safer School Precinct Program

BCC is running a “Safer School Precinct” program looking at holistically improving transport in areas with a high density of schools.

This is a staged program which began with Kedron late last year, Mansfield in progress and Wynnum/Manly and Indooroopilly to follow.

Found out via a friend who noticed the signs everywhere in Mansfield while out tonight.

Looks like one to follow progress on and potentially put in submissions for.

From a public transport perspective it would be good to get buses out of general school traffic.

Why do the Schrinner Council hate cycling!! Hardly a mention of safe cycling paths!

The ones known to reduce crashes by 90% and make roads safer for all users!

The closest they get is a photo of a kid with a helmet! Job done!
