Ask me what they can do to improve my suburb. Boy I have a lot to say.
If you can’t read this, basically I said I want the following:
An upgrade to Gympie Arterial Road from Beams Road to the Pine Rivers Bridge (Urgent)
Sound Barrier along the Gateway between Bracken Ridge and the Pine Rivers bridge (lots of noise but no sound barrier currently despite over 5 years of advocacy from locals.
A shuttle feeder bus between Bracken Ridge, and North eastern Bald Hills to Bald Hills Station to compliment the 327 and also connect the train station to surrounding areas.
Sunday service for the 327
New lanes connecting the Gateway and Gympie arterial to bypass traffic off Bracken ridge road (current set up dumps trucks on local streets)
A bike underpass under Gympie arterial connecting the back area near Kluver street and Bald Hills Road.
Brisbane Metro to Bracken Ridge Before 2032.
Linkfield Road Overpass upgrade (urgent, the current one sucks and the bridge keeps being struck by trucks.
And lastly rezone the area to permit medium density housing, including city or state owned affordable housing for rent.
There are some good ideas here, but a lot of these points are about assets controlled by the state or federal government, and aren’t really in the council’s power to change.
By the way, I welcome more talking points on this forum, but I think posts like this ought to be made as replies in existing topics rather than creating a new topic for it.

State level issue

Yeah but council can and should push the state to do it firstly. And secondly this area where the sound barrier and bikeway would both go, even though the Gateway and Gympie Arterial are owned by the state gov, the adjacent land is actually owned by Brisbane City Council

Also I hope the 327 and 326 routes get changed should a Northside bus review happen.
Also yes Fitzgibbon does have medium density but you also have other suburbs like Bracken Ridge, Bald Hills etc who are just all single family homes. Some density would be nice near the train station as well as the future Bracken Ridge Metro station. However I can imagine their would be a lot of Nimbies we would have to deal with.
