Brisbane Walking Network Plans - did you see them?

Hi BTQers,

I’m wondering if any Brisbane residents had seen the 2 x Walking Network Plans that BCC received funding from TMR to conduct a review and do a community consultation process? Both walking network plans were located specifically around transit centres and will form an important hub. We’d love to hear what you saw and how you provided feedback. What were your responses and why? Cheers.

Hi @QldWalks. Welcome!

I haven’t seen them yet, but I noticed many intersections in Brisbane only have 3 crossings and leave the fourth side without one. Its this to save costs?

It is not great to take 3 crossings when someone could have crossed directly, but there are a few around.

This is like consulting on street light replacements or positioning. Seriously!!

They just need to do their job!!

Good urban desgin is well known and documented. Just need to change what they have been doing for last 50 years because it has delivered the wrong outcomes
