There’s a pile of Bus Qld/PRT runs being cancelled this afternoon. Maybe too many drivers out sick?
Gees if it’s still like it used to be years ago, that service would get full before the motorway at Oxley in a 14.5m tag bus. At least there’s no uni and it’s the last day of school today ![]()
I believe the 545 is ranked within Logan City’s top 5 most patronaged routes too. Probably just behind the 555 and 569.
New post about this one, feel free to voice your grievances in public if you want ![]()
What delays…BUSES are the perfect public transit option for ALL public transit needs…particularly in SEQ…we’ve got magical BUSES…you just name the public transit need…a BUS is THE answer!
Need to get thousands upon thousands of people, every hour across town…use BUSES…who needs a pesky rail based subway system in a growing city, just grab a banana bus and paint METRO on the side!
Want a catch a ferry…hold on…who needs a ferry, meet METRO with floaties…Coming Soon! It’s a banana bus…I mean, METRO…that thinks it can swim!
Forget DELAYS…what delays, buses are ALWAYS the answer, a bus here, a bus there…a bus EVERYWHERE! But NO Delays…there will be NO talk of bus delays! Eveyone smile, everyone be BUS Happy!
Seems there’s something wrong with the Bus signal westbound near the Casino Village Caravan Park (that the 745 uses). Stuck on red. Driver had to reverse back to the caravan park driveway, and use that to turn around.
Why on earth is the SEB backed right up this afternoon. Queues of buses outbound from Buranda
Just the confluence of BCC/Logan/Redlands rockets at work I guess.. seems pretty normal to me for afternoon peak hour. I just wished Mater Hill and South Bank received the same Buranda-extension treatment, as it only takes a TAG axle to stop in the middle of the platform to completely fuck-up the SE busway’s traffic flow.
Never this bad at 5pm at Buranda on the few times I pass through, caught it on a bad day for the network
Genuinely pathetic performance from BCC & Translink on the 196 this morning. The bus I originally planned to catch ended up being 15 minutes delayed, so it was directly followed by another bus. Hopped on the 2nd once since it was emptier, but still standing room only. They then decided it was a good idea to stop on a random street and try and get the passengers from both on to one bus, who predictably didn’t all fit. In their infinite wisdom, they decided the best move was to kick about 15 passengers off the bus and just leave them on the side of the road, and send the other bus off not in service. Actually shocking
Did they at least give any reason for the other bus off not in service? Too far delayed it needed to be cancelled?
560 eastbound running 15 minutes late at Slacks Creek P&R this morning. New timetables clearly not doing the job they were intended for.
The driver said it was for timing reasons, which I assume means they needed the bus for another service
I know I’m sounding a bit repetitive, but the 560 is running late…again.
Only around 6-8 minutes late this time, but still…I’m trying to work out what the point of the new timetable was.
At least they tried… A for effort ig ![]()
Surprised they haven’t adjusted the timetables by 7 minutes! ![]()
