(Management Committee Resolution: M-2025-M16-M1)

Scope:

This bylaw applies to all members, representatives, and guests of Better Transport Queensland (BTQ) who attend events not open to the general public in an official or affiliated capacity.

Requirements:

When sharing content from such events on social media platforms not affiliated with BTQ, attendees must provide clear and prominent acknowledgment of BTQ using the full name of the association: Better Transport Queensland. The acknowledgment must be tailored to the format of the content as follows:

  • Video Content
    • If the video includes a voiceover: BTQ must be acknowledged verbally.
    • If the video includes captions: BTQ must be acknowledged within the captions.
    • In all cases: BTQ must be prominently acknowledged in the video description.
  • Still Photography
    • BTQ must be prominently acknowledged in the post description.
    • If a description is not possible (e.g., platform limitations), acknowledgment must be included in the image caption.
  • Temporary Content (e.g., Stories)
    • If the story includes spoken word: BTQ must be acknowledged verbally.
    • BTQ must also be acknowledged as a prominent on-screen text element.

These requirements may be waived at the discretion of the management committee in extenuating circumstances.

Purpose:

These requirements ensure transparency, reinforce BTQ’s public presence, and maintain consistency in external communications.
