(Management Committee Resolution: M-2026-M20-M2)
Purpose
This bylaw enumerates the composition of the Management Committee of Better Transport Queensland (BTQ), ensuring clarity regarding the governance structure of the association and the positions responsible for its administration and operations.
Scope
This bylaw applies to the Management Committee of Better Transport Queensland and defines the positions that comprise it.
Management Committee Positions
The following positions are established by Section 18.1 of the Constitution of Better Transport Queensland and shall have the powers, responsibilities, and duties prescribed therein:
- President
- Treasurer
The Secretary shall be an elected member of the Management Committee in accordance with Section 15 of the Consitution.
The following positions shall be elected pursuant to Section 18.2 of the Constitution, having been created by resolution of a General Meeting of the Association, and are hereby enumerated by this bylaw:
- Webmaster
- Social Media Director
- Lead Spokesperson
- Two Non-Executive Directors
These positions shall form part of the Management Committee and may be assigned responsibilities by resolution of the Management Committee, provided such responsibilities are consistent with the Constitution.
Nomination
Pursuant to Section 15 and Section 19 of the Constitution, nominations to the Management Committee must be for one or more of the aforementioned positions.
Administration
Where a vacancy arises in a position established by this bylaw, the vacancy may be filled in accordance with the Constitution and any applicable resolutions of the Management Committee.
The Management Committee may define, amend, or clarify the responsibilities of positions established by this bylaw as required for the effective operation of the association.
