Can’t even dispose empty cans or energy drinks off of the train at Roma Street, when there’s no rubbish bins!!
There’s not even any rubbish bins at Roma Street busway station either.

Don’t even get me started on the one rubbish bin in Central station, next to the Maccas – there’s not a day when its not overfilling to the brim 
If we want to promote train cleanliness and public hygiene, it is imperative that each of Roma Street’s train platforms accommodate at least one rubbish bin.
Same goes with the adjacent Roma Street busway station.
Doesn’t the bin situation change with the terrorist threat level.
Hopefully there will be bins around the forecourt area or close by when that opens up later this year at Roma Street.
King George Square - City Hall busway station also doesn’t have any rubbish bins, which I’ve found annoying as well.
But a comparable underground station - like Fortitude Valley train station - gets enlightened with multiple sets of rubbish bins though..
And Central station, meanwhile, has just one rubbish bin. At the Maccas.
All CBD stations between Bowen Hills and South Brisbane, as well as the station at Toowong, have been without bins since the 2014 G20 summit, hosted in Brisbane, when they were welded shut before they were eventually removed.
I, too, would like all the major CBD busway stations (from Mater Hill to RBWH), and major CBD train stations (from South Brisbane to Bowen Hills) to be welded shut in the lead up to the 2032 Games 
So they returned in 2016, when were they removed again and why?
They can’t because of Terrorism Threats
They can, they choose not to. Even sydney’s town hall has them on platforms. This is just one of those convenient excuses to get out of doing basics
Response to my feedback on why there’s no inner-city bins…
Regarding the absence of bins at certain inner-city stations, rubbish bins were removed from CBD station platforms in 2014 following an increase in the National Terrorism Threat Level to ‘Probable’. In 2017, bin placements were reviewed, and specialised bins were installed at selected locations based on advice from the Queensland Police Service, security specialists, and benchmarking against other national and international rail operators.
At Central Station, these bins are located on the concourse near the entrances from
Edward and Creek Streets, as well as adjacent to McDonald’s. While we understand concerns regarding bin availability, ensuring the safety and security of customers, staff, and the wider community remains a priority, alongside meeting waste management requirements.
As someone who works in national security, I can tell you the threat level has remained the same for a long time and you can absolutely have bins. They absolutely do not want to for cost reasons.
Different states have different priorities I guess.
Go to Perth and you can see at certain locations like Mandurah that before a train goes into the yard to stable, it pulls up at a full-length cleaning platform where the train can be thoroughly emptied of rubbish, vacuumed, swabbed down etc by multiple people at once, so it can be done at least once a day.
I don’t think we even have the roving cleaners anymore, do we?
Sydney has someone who does basic cleaning when it gets to terminal stations during its layover. They just walk through the train. That being said sydney is great with bins and on the suburban network people are fairly good with cleanliness. The intercity network is the opposite.
