They still do, however the closures coming up would be for the remaining CRR station rebuilds and Clapham Yard which surround where the Tennyson branch is.

The only station that hasn’t been tackled is Moorooka and there hasn’t been any news about it since… Ever?
And as someone who tends to follow these things like a hound, the loop hasn’t been used for closures since early October.
If they want to run service competently they could’ve just run a 3-car shuttle between Banoon and Beenleigh with the express services running via Tennyson. Or… At least express buses.
But hey, we have to suck it up because of a stupid worthless project, right? RIGHT?

The Tennyson Loop is north of Clapham Yard (Moorooka) where the works are taking place. You can’t get from Banoon to Yeerongpilly if the section around Clapham is out of service.

Apparently, there’s no on the Doomben line today, even though there is (only between Eagle Junction and Doomben).
For some reason that I don’t quite understand, they can be found in the Caboolture line timetable.
(Apologies for the weird cropping, I couldn’t fit both the full station names and the times on my phone system).
Edit: good to see the rail buses on the e-ink real time display.

Depending on which side of town you live on, anywhere south of Banoon is still gonna be faster to the Goldie, even with all stops trains.
Unfortunately not south of Boggo Road, would have to go there first

If you’re on the northside there’s an express Eagle Junction to Banoon bus. It’s pretty quick, 35 minutes via M7.

If you have to get on a bus or the tram to the GC line just to end up having to take another bus just to get to the city you end up looking at a 2 hour, 2:30hr journey one way.
I’m not accepting excuses.
Hopefully over the coming year QR can do whatever they need to do to store enough trains (and decant them) south of the closure to maintain the regular service pattern.

Well an indirect train running every 90 min is better than a constantly closed line with train-replacing buses, right?

Anyone else find it incredibly frustrating that rail bus drivers force loading through the front door only?
Does anyone know if they do sweeper shuttles for events? The carindale-gabba shuttle I’m on was full from Carina. Reasonable sized crowds waiting from there on in - hoping they actually get a chance of getting on with shuttles that don’t fill up from Carindale. They’re only seemed to be TfB staff at Carindale and Langlands Park.
Must be the Moorooka rebuild and stabling reconfiguration.
