Disruption Management (Events, Planned Closures, Track Work, etc...)

There was a Reddit r/Brisbane post yesterday on the queue at Geebung for the railbus. The queue went from the busstop, over the bridge and onto the platform… So not sure that it’s performing adequately either.

Geebung station this Morning : r/brisbane

I would have thought it is manageable - firstly through just having the equipment active and linked to the trips where it is installed, and secondly (although probably too much of an ask for this state) having mobile equipment for temporary use on anything not fitted with a permanent Cubic installation (eg subcontract vehicles from non-TransLink operators). If there is no real time feed available for any reason the particular trip should still show as being scheduled.

Apparently Transport for Brisbane is now doing railbus duties on select services. Can anyone confirm?

R888 looks to be exclusively done by TfB

Close enough. Welcome back 160 LMAO

7 News: For a 12th day, the Transport Minister has dodged our cameras, refusing to explain chaotic rail closures or reassure thousands more who will be impacted when the Gold Coast line closes on Thursday. In Brisbane, more buses have finally brought relief.

Came across this on the QR trackwork calendar, and I’m curious - what are the third-party led projects on the Ipswich line? I wasn’t aware there was any.

This is always a sign that things are going well :woozy:

Interestingly the Translink service alert currently just says “general track maintanence” as the only works occuring..

He is a boofhead minister

I don’t think Thompsons is taking good care of its share of state-owned buses, let me tell you…

If they can’t handle rail replacement buses properly, when what are going to expect for the Olympics?

Moggill-bound 444 doing a pretty wild diversion today - runs to Roma St then briefly along the inner northern busway to the layover bay where it then loops around, runs back express through Roma St and exits via the underground roundabout to Roma St, down Turbot, and then into the riverside expressway. It’s a pretty smart routing but very confusing as a passenger!

Oh goodie I can’t wait for Queensland Rail to shut down the Ipswich & Cleveland lines all over again  (sarcasm)

Another signal fault at Carseldine - train guard announced a 20 minute delay

Did LXRP damaged it?

Maybe? Either way 3 times in the span of 4 months is not okay.
