Yes I noticed that not showing up in the journey planner, despite advice from Translink to use the journey planner for details of the services. They have lost it lately. Even the routine reporting of patronage and so forth is now very haphazard.

The Exhibition loop services are now showing up in the journey planner.
Track closures may be subject to change due to ongoing union protected industrial action. Weâll keep you updated if there are changes.

The Gympielander is scheduled to run Gympie North-Springfield Central rather than terminating at Roma Street like usual for the next week or so

Really is beyond time for those level crossings to be removed. Imagine how things will go in the Olympics if this happens. I wouldnât be surprised if those roads and crossings are closed for the games to eliminate this.

Some maybe, but there are some level crossings where the only alternative to using the level crossing is for quite a sizeable round trip through neighbouring suburbs.
Between Runcorn and Fruitgrove means that this would be the Bonemill Road level crossing next to the old Bradken Factory that has been hit. In that area there are 3 level crossings - Nathan Road, Bonemill Road and Warrigal Road - you probably could safely close Bonemill Road, and maybe Nathan Road for the extent of the Olympics, but Warrigal Road is a major connecting road and would really need to stay open.
Without one of the three, the only way to access that northern half of Runcorn and Eight Miles Plains from south of the rail line would involve driving through Underwood to Millers Road and down Underwood Road, or to Mains Road Sunnybank and up to McCullough Street/Padstow Road. Either way is a fairly significant detour, especially for people just ducking up to the local Woolworths, or their doctors in Runcorn Plaza. Closing the Warrigal Road crossing also severs the 150 BUZ as well as the N154 and 156, while the 152 would likely need to use it as well if you were to close Bonemill Road.
Yeah I hear you. Itâs just these seem to be quite common occurrences on this stretch and itâll be extremely disruptive in the Olympics if it happens. With the frequency of services that will be required during this time the boom gates will be down for a very long time each day anyhow.
I agree it would be very disruptive for local residents during this time and those crossings should be removed altogether. Itâs just I donât know what else they will do.

How would they reroute the buses that travel through those level crossings should they be closed?
I donât know, and the whole scenario is a real issue. Level crossing removals should have been included as part of the LGCFR project in my opinion, as well as quad tracking that section at the same time.

They have been, but the area of LGCFR is only between Beenleigh and Kuraby, so the Fruitgrove LXs were outside the area for this project.

Yes - I meant to say (but didnât word it very well) that this section between Kuraby and Altandi should have been covered in the project as well.

I think its safe to stay that this modified Saturday timetable will be here to stay for a couple more weeks. But bargaining has so far been positive from what I can gather from the Facebook reel.
Hopefully the entire network returns back to normal peak frequencies by mid-July?
ânormalâ is a bit of a stretch knowing that a new season of closures is coming.
