Disruption Management (Events, Planned Closures, Track Work, etc...)

Anyone have any insight regarding these cancellations yesterday?

I have read a theory elsewhere (Reddit) that I don’t really want to expand on, because it doesn’t seem to add up. If the theory were true, it likely would’ve led to more than one train being cancelled.

If we’ve read the same theory, I’d also agree with that.

I would also imagine the entire station precinct would have been evacuated, not just the island platform.

August Track closures are out, nothing too major aside from this - mostly northside and Ipswich/Springfield line works:

Great time to be a Cleveland or Ferny Grove Line user, track closures rarely happen

You shouldn’t have said that! :face_savoring_food:

Seems like QR deployed the mobile customer service staff to Cannon Hill. There were at least 6 staff floating around the station. I didn’t see but hope the rail bus stop had someone too although it is outside the station so maybe not.

Hemmant didn’t appear to have anyone around the rail bus stop or at the entrance to the station (to direct you to the bus). Not sure if down on the platform (which wouldn’t make sense as there’s only one way in).

Aged like milk this morning :stuck_out_tongue:

This 18min gap between downward Redcliffe train is beyond hideous. I was under the impression that peak hour services for all lines (except Shorncliffe, Beenleigh, Doomben, Nambour) run every 15min. But what makes this 18min gap even worse is that this is during full peak-hour.

Not good enough QR.

Gold Coast timetable is listed under the Beenleigh section this weekend due to track closures. Took me a couple minutes to decipher that after reading the service update.
