Expression of Interest: BTQ Management & Working Committee 2026

Help Shape the Future of Public Transport in Queensland

Better Transport Queensland (BTQ) is opening Expressions of Interest for volunteer positions across our Management Committee and Working Committees for 2026.

This is an opportunity to move beyond online discussion and actively influence transport policy, public debate, and outcomes across Queensland. Whether your strengths are governance, communications, data, mapping, media, or local advocacy, there is a role where you can make a real impact.

BTQ committee members:

  • Contribute to credible, evidence-based transport advocacy
  • Help shape BTQ’s public voice
  • Build experience in governance, media, strategy, and stakeholder engagement
  • Work with a committed group of volunteers who care deeply about better transport outcomes

Please note, the BTQ Management and Working Committees are administrative and do not set or create BTQ policy. Policy is created by members through our Policy Platform Day.

Experience is welcome but not essential—what matters most is interest, reliability, and your willingness to contribute.

If you’re unsure which role fits you best, we encourage you to submit an EOI anyway. The form allows you to express interest for multiple positions. We’re happy to have a conversation and help match people to roles that suit their skills and availability.
