This style of bus was used in Brisbane up to around 2006. There was no airconditioning, but the windows slid open.

Looks like a Leyland Panther. The Brisbane Transport Museum at Nathan has one of these buses in a very similar colour scheme to this one, just without the advertising and with different Citybus branding.
