Hi guys, a few months back @Metro posted an unofficial map of South Australian coach services, it was made because they haven’t had one in decades.

After seeing this I was thinking of making a similar one for Queensland, I would be happy if anyone with experience could recommend me software or tools for making something like this.

Once you get the hang of it, Inkscape’s quite useful. You may have to find workarounds at times, and it has its gremlins—but it’s free (and open source).

If you don’t think of yourself as a graphic designer, there are also a number of increasingly good options out there dedicated to making PT diagrams. Check out the /r/TransitDiagrams wiki.
I feel map design could be a future BTQ advocacy workshop if we had a suitably skilled facilitator
