If you type the stop code into the ‘Search stop and station timetables’ box on the TransLink site (where the journey planner is), it will bring the stop name up.
Water?!
Currently aboard SMU276. Quite a number of seats require reupholstering. Hopefully, it goes in for refurb soon, but it seems QR has very few spare sets that can go for refurbishment.
A Ferny Grove and a Shorncliffe got held at Central for some time due to something on the northbound subs track at Fortitude Valley. Shorncliffe train had to run express from Bowen Hills to Northgate due to the resultant 7min delay.
I wonder if anything happened on the Ferny Grove train?
QR seems to still be running their steam loco around the Ekka loop even though the Ekka service is well over. Worked from home a few days over the past two weeks and every day around midday I hear the steam whistle and can see it rolling past. Same thing as pre-Ekka when they were doing test runs. I’m not opposed, but anyone know why they’d still be doing it?
Driver training?
A 3-car Beenleigh train (smu232) arrived at South Bank station completely unprompted. The PID at platform 1 was showing the Gold Coast train that arrives after the Beenleigh train.
Surely it doesn’t take much common sense to realise that a truck that size won’t fit under a bridge that low…
Automatic 6 month license suspension for hitting a bridge might sort some out.
City & Cleveland train stopped after Boondall station due to some issue with signalling at the time of writing this.
Why isn’t there an advance warning bar that trucks can hit before they run into the bridge here (and Muriel Ave Rocklea)?
Update he couldn’t turn around so we all had to get off at Buranda to catch another bus inbound.
Not the N.A.M!
Feels a bit weird hearing the Gympie North announcements on the NGR recently, but at the same time they’ve been updated to the same style with the ‘Mind the Gap’ as the rest of the network (excluding services to/from Rosewood).

Why make airport line passengers change trains at Central to get to EJ to then change to a bus? Terrible experience with luggage etc.
If suspended from Bowen Hills then run the railbus from there.
Or if other services can still travel to/through EJ why would airport line be suspended at Bowen Hills?
It’s a tricky situation. Eagle Junction isn’t a suitable place for terminating trains. I wonder if the Airport trains could be extended to Northgate (even if running empty EJ to Northgate) so that Airport passengers could transfer to a bus there.
