Some short delays due to a vehicle striking a level crossing boom gate at Kuraby.
X: Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains travelling towards Brisbane City are delayed up to 15 minutes due to a road vehicle striking a level crossing boom gate at Kuraby. Beenleigh and Gold Coast line trains away from Brisbane City delayed up to 10 minutes. https://bit.ly/46hg08M
Why canât they do both?
From the service update the track fault was on the Beenleigh stretch of the Gold Coast Line which it shares with Beenleigh as that had a similar service update. Isnât the beenleigh section looked at a LOT at the present with LGCFR and CRR rolling out?
Because possession is by CRRDA, not QR. Itâs pretty irrelevant anyway, as the track fault was at Edens Landing, a section that isnât regularly closed for CRR works. Last closure was 6-7 December 2025, so basically two months ago.
You might better ask why there was a signal fault at Carseldine this week, despite a maintenance closure the previous weekend.
