Big fare evasion blitz at the cultural centre going on today.
Another one at Helensvale yesterday afternoon, too.
Southern Downs Steam Railway rolling stock family photo at Stanthorpe. DownsSteam from Toowoomba were supposed to join us with their 2000 class railmotor today, but they set it on fire a week ago on a tour, so itâs out of action for a while..
Significant delays on the SEB and subsequently wider bus network this morning due to a broken down bus at Buranda IB
Believe it happened pre-7am and at 8:55 queue was still back to Greenslopes. As usual took ages for the service update. Got cleared pretty quick after that and no sign at 09:20 when I went through.
Bad morning to be using the network then by the sounds of it
I was on a 555 stuck in that queue yesterday, first signs of it were felt coming into Mt Gravatt, but the real stop start started between Griffith Uni and Holland Park West. My 555 was a 7:45am service from Loganholme - it should have gotten to Adelaide Street Stop 24 by 8:40am, but eventually got there around 9:15am.
The reason I was on a 555 was that there was a massive line waiting for the 7:45am 569 - so much so that the driver declared the bus full before leaving, with a fair number of us left on the platform waiting for the next (8:00am) service. The 7:45am 555 was standing room only on departing from Loganholme, and declared full leaving from Springwood. We stopped at Rochedale for someone getting off, but with no further passengers allowed on.
Does the 4.40pm Nambour train usually use platform 9 at Roma Street? Came via Ekka loop.
Also a 3 car Springfield line train in peak at 4.45pm seen this afternoon
Not sure about that service specifically but yes, plat 9 is normal for nambour services and units coming from ekka loop arenât uncommon.
I am on an all stops toiletless IMU train to Cleveland in peak. Why do QR insist on this type especially for an all stops service ![]()
Also new decal on board AFAIK
When you say toiletless IMU, was the toilet out of order? Because all IMUs have one.
This service is usually formed by an NGR coming in from Ipswich (yard) and into Platform 9 as per usual.
Due to the trackwork closure between Caboolture and Landsborough today and tommorow (as part of the Beerburrum to Beerwah duplication works), some NGRs and SMU/IMUs were swapped around today and tommorow. Iâd assume the 4:40pm came from the Mayne yards instead of Ipswich/Wulkuraka.
I donât know if it was an SMU/IMU but there was not one on-board as far as I could see
Generally IMU160/SMU260 will run in pairs, so that at least one unit in the consist will have a toilet. However, this isnât always possible, due to there being more SMU260 sets (36) than IMU160 sets (28). Also, 100/200 and 120/220 cannot be operated together.
As to why it would be operated in peak hour, simply because close to all available units are operating during peak hour. I canât see this changing anytime in the near future.
Of all lines to get 3 car peak services, this should NOT be one of themâŚ
It was a 3-car which baffled me more
Just saw a âsorry, metro fullâ outbound metro bus at cultural centre. Seems like the capacity constraints are already hitting ![]()
Interesting. Was it the M1 or M2 service?
Unsure, doesnât seem like they show the route number when full
Busy day on the network today, additional services across the day for the AFC Cup double header at Cbus Super
