Seems like an isolated issue to me. The guard said that the train was waiting for the Shorncliffe branch to clear up, so not related to the strikes going on.

Things are running relatively well today.

87% otr is a bit subpar, even by QR standards I believe (unless it excludes ‘near-time running’)

What app is that using?

What is the app’s definition for “on time”?

Heavenly run today, SM5225 on the Cleveland line had no announcements the whole way.

They’re really hammering home about track closures. Two lengthy announcements by the guard on arrival to Boggo Road and I heard one outside the train on platform about it. And another one crossing the Merrivale.

Also is freight going over the Merrivale Bridge during track closures? Freight train coming through South Brisbane as I type this

I believe freight can still travel to the Port. Not sure about Moolabin. Maybe they’re allowing freight through, with restrictions.

Lack of express showing this afternoon - like a sardine tin on this service. In other news, there was a singular Bowen Hills-Lota run this afternoon… weird

Currently onboard a 300 inbound from Brett’s Wharf. Full seated load + many standees. Could probably take a few more, but not many.

300 needs to be BUZ, IMO.

Took a 330 south to Chermside this morining. When the bus got to Zillmere station, the bus was at crush capacity until it reached Chermside.

An example of what happens when you have buses that are integrated with rail stations, rather than competing with or bypassing them completely.

Can the northside afford to wait 2+ years for a review. Sounds like they need the attention sooner than later.

The northside needs some artics, but they won’t fit into Chermside interchange. Not sure what the solution is there tbh, but 330 should be running artics exclusively, at least until 7 pm.

I was on a 2pm Wednesday 310 service and it was a crush and some woeful driving. I’d normally train, but I’ve decided to ride my bike to work now instead, well until the LNP Government bans my legal pedal assisted bike from riding on the NBB and Gateway bikeway.

We’ll probably see some new designs of an inline interchange at Chermside to cater for artics when the metro business case is released. However they could use stop F on Hamilton Road now exclusively for artics and move the 680 and related services from that stop to another stop within the interchange.

I’ve seen artics use the interchange for Suncorp or Gabba shuttles so you could either…

  • Merge stops A and B to create one large platform for the 330 and 340, or
  • Make the 330 and 340 run to stop H on Hamilton Rd via Kuran and Kingsmill Sts, or
  • Make them serve stop F by moving the 680 to the interior of the interchange

One of at chermy was drop off zone only….maybe stop A can be event only pickup for suncorp/gabba express?

Wouldn’t it be 330, 333 and 340 that would use the combined stop there if it was to happen?
