So the result has been pretty much no benefit for public transport. No improved frequency on an existing route, and no introduction of an improved new one.

Complete chaos on my local southside route this past few days. I think 3 of the services I’ve tried to catch have no-showed (including my bus to work today!), and almost every other run has been delayed by 5+ minutes. Really bad service from BCC
Edit: Just had to turn away some riders (who’ve likely been waiting for the previous bus that never showed!) because the bus was full. Madness!

Wow, good find. It’s great that Translink has made modifications to make it easier for tourists to orient themselves.
I find it interesting that the International Airport (and assuming Domestic since Intl. has it) gets a new map with more detail on The Wave (like it’s labelled The Wave) and GCLR3 extension but it hasn’t appeared on maps across the rest of the network.
Update on the feedback I put in with Translink/Queensland Rail
Spoke with a Translink employee on the phone this afternoon after hearing nothing for the 15 business day window and found out Queensland Rail have forwarded it to the specific teams and are investigating it.
Holding out hope we actually get PIDs (and bins!) at the outer network stations. Will follow up in a couple weeks.

I do like that you can click on the various routes on the map and it takes you to either the timetable on TransLink or the details about the project under construction.

Some very modest progress on Central station upgrade.
Disruption for those needing lift access, including on Sundays no access to Central station at all.
Platforms 5 and 6 were opened in 1990 in conjunction with the new tunnel servicing Roma Street to Fortitude Valley. As common with aging assets, the infrastructure at these platforms require regular maintenance and will now be replaced to ensure their ongoing reliability.
Upcoming works
The upcoming works will improve reliability of lift and escalator services. The project includes the design and installation of four new escalators and one new lift to platforms 5 and 6.
The project will commence on Monday 27 April 2026 and is expected to be completed by early 2027. Works will take place in phases to ensure the continuity of escalator access for customers.
Sunday travel
Each weekend, Queensland Rail conducts inspections of the inner-city tracks and tunnels as part of our regular maintenance program.
On Sundays, during these planned inspections, all train services run through platforms 5 and 6 at Central station. The time that is set aside for these inspections are from the first train until approximately 4:30PM.
As the lift at platforms 5 and 6 will be unavailable, customers who require the use of the lift are advised to transfer at Roma Street station to a bus from busway platform 2 and catch a bus service to King George Square (KGS) to access the city.

Queensland Rail has now warned customers three-car trains will operate on the network, with the Ferny Grove and Cleveland lines worst affected.

“Should union-protected industrial action continue, customers will experience more three-car sets and Queensland Rail may be forced to further downgrade or cancel services.”
The introduction of more three-car services is likely to continue well into next week, although six-car services will run when possible.

Transport Minister Brent Mickelberg said unions had continued to submit notices for protected industrial action including, in the case of the ETU, on Anzac Day.“
“Even if the unions withdrew all of their protected industrial action today, the backlog in maintenance means it could be some time before all trains can return to service,” he said.
“Unions’ refusal to undertake essential maintenance on trains means there are fewer trains available to run the normal number of services.”
