The worst part of this is knowing how fantastic the Thrilmere festival of steam is. Other states still care about steam history, and donât provide nonsense rules that have been in place since before australia was even itâs own nation.

The crash occurred about 9.20pm on Saturday at the intersection of George Street and Turbot Street near the Magistrateâs Court building.

QR FB: Customers, due to a signalling issue caused by wet weather between South Bank and South Brisbane, services are suspended between Roma Street to Yeerongpilly and Cannon Hill stations.
Well, BN and VL trains are now being sent via Tennyson so the delays for those services should be minor as trains return to their original slots.
A service deviated via Tennyson usually adds about 5 minutes to the total journey time.
Which bus was the one involved in that incident in the city?
I canât find any information on the bus number or even which operator it was. Of course itâs most likely a BCC bus based purely on volume, but no confirmation of that.

255 cancelled this afternoon, no notice from Translink even after I rang them. Spent 30 minutes in the rain. No service updates

Itâs very difficult to know whether itâs the operator or Translink causing the delay in relaying or, often times, radio silence of service updates. Truthfully speaking, I think itâs a mixture of both.

Since when does Brisbane Bus Lines do Transdev operated school services? Saw one this morning
Got to Rochedale Station a little earlier than usual, and ended up in a large line up of waiting passengers as a result. The 8:15am 581 was filled to capacity when it departed - which was confirmed by one of two Clarks Transport Officers on the platform who phoned in a report of a full standing load.
The following 573 (3 minutes behind) didnât quite fill all the way up, but there were a lot of standees so it probably wasnât too far off.
Translink really needs to do something at Loganholme, itâs getting beyond a joke. Iâve been starting a bit later than I have been previously, but the 15 minute gaps between services at Loganholme after 7:30am, combined with the massive accumulated crowd of passengers and resulting full buses, has me driving to Rochedale Station instead - over 4x further away
Just plugging the gap with 2 extra 569s at 7:38am and 7:53am would likely solve the issue completely.
Is it a Translink thing or a Beenleigh Line operating on 30 minute frequencies forcing commuters to find alternate routes
I donât think it is train related based on observed carpark usage.
While carpark usage at both Loganholme and Rochedale very noticeably spiked during the extended Easter rail shutdown, it fell back down to usual usage straight after that. Since then, I havenât seen any noticable carpark spike.
Also, the service gaps and resultant over crowding has been a pretty standard occurrence ever since the local Metro-related service changes were introduced. While these changes did help ensure services arrived on time and helped Clarks sort out their staffing issues, it did result in a reduction of services, and especially after 7:30am.

You would think that with the introduction of 50¢ fares and the subsequent increase in patronage (and new origin/destination data that is increasing in size as we speak), translink would know that the 555 and 569 need either frequency boosts, or in my view, the merging of the two.

watco cattletrain to holmview today. Unless the delays in that area were unrelated, I believe it did cause a bunch of passenger services to get delayed
