Dear members & friends of Better Transport Queensland,
Please save the date for our upcoming Policy Workshop, on Sunday April 19th 2026.
The meeting will be held at Kenmore Library. We have the room booked from 9am til 6pm - we expect to start at 10, and finish by 5:30. You may attend a portion of the day if you are unavailable for the full duration. Food will not be provided. The library is located in Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, so you will be able to buy food if required.
The primary purpose of this meeting is to identify key things to advocate for this year. In line with By-law #3, our work on this day will inform a redraft of our Policy Platform.
On the forum, a category has been created. Feel free to start a new thread, or reply to an existing one if it’s similar. (Note - still being set up right now!)
We’ll close submissions to the category to give some time to collate submissions for…
Prior to the meeting, an indicative online survey will be released to rate each submission item in isolation on a five-point scale from strong-support to strong-oppose.
Then on the day, attendees will prioritise items on the MoSCoW method: Must, Should, Could and Won’t Have.
From there we can develop an advocacy platform consistent with those priorities, and present it for adoption at the next available General Meeting.
I hope to see as many of you as possible at the meeting!
Kind Regards,
Alex Jago
