I have had “system” automatically remove a quote from my post when I quote somebody else’s entire post. It’s quite frustrating as the posts I am quoting are usually short (a few sentences at most). Is there any way to fix this?

This only applies when you are quoting the entirety of the previous post as far as I understand. Given that there is no way to add an exception for short posts, I’d rather leave this setting enabled to avoid unnecessarily large quotes of preceding posts.
You are able to reply directly to the previous post which will add a line indicating it as a reply.
