The Network in Photographs

I didn’t think so, but I wasn’t prepared to call that out..

I’m a bit disappointed that they aren’t using their own trains on their PR material..

To play devils advocate, are we sure this is a regular occurance, and not a one off closure as a result of someone making a mess in there or potential vandalism?

Personally, I would generally opt to go in City Hall if that option is available. The toilets in there are quite nice in both overall design and cleanliness, in my experience at least.

The best part about Nundah is that it has a J-pole that has fed its way into this shopfront’s roof.

C17 971 is continuing mainline trials today. First trip under passenger load (the cohort of SDSR volunteers) in almost 3 years (she’s been out of service since April 2023).

Taking her out to Hendon for a morning out on the rails.

How does this happen?
Genuinely asking. Did the J-Pole get built later or is the roof too low to fit the pole?

Not our network but here are some photos of buses in Vancouver, Canada from my recent trip there. Typical North American Bus design. What was also a coincidence is they also call their public transport company there, TransLink. But obviously it isn’t related to our one and I wouldn’t be surprised if there were other cities that probably also have a transit authority of the same name.

One thing I do like though is they do have bike racks in them and they do seem to get used quite often too.

Ok I have this really good shot I have just taken whilst waiting at South Bank station of locomotives 2472 and 2490h hauling Spirit of Queensland Diesel Locomotive 5409. I was not expecting this.

Yes, I hope at some point in the future, that photo won’t show a single track anymore.
