That’s a fancy looking station building for such a crappy station in terms of platforms, amenities and accessibility.

Fun fact - there appear to be no go card validators (gates or stand-alone) in the station building, though there were gates previously. If you miss touching off on the platform you have to go all the way back or (in my case) give up and write off the fixed fare because you can’t be arsed. Even when there were gates present, it was always possible to walk around the building and down the original ramp to Junction Rd. An absolute waste of money and (along with Indooroopilly) represents proof that QR does not have a clue how to deliver a station upgrade.

The complete absence of retail in the station environment is also something very noticeable in QLD - it is everywhere down south, and in Perth on the newer lines.

I noticed today there’s also only one validator on P3/P4. That seems inadequate.

There’s actually a second on hidden under the stairs in front of the lift… but yea, still quite inadequate.

Ripley when?

MMA075+MMB60 in the fourth (westernmost) road at Bethania station this morning (5/4/26). A little surprised with the amount of trackwork happening this weekend that they’re not being used.

I got this shot early this morning on the first train on my way into the Dawn service in the city. I forgot which unit it was on but it was an SMU200.

That is a glorious photo
Which line was that? Assuming Cleveland or Ferny

Actually it was running on the Redcliffe Peninsula Line. Which also happens to be my line.

Interesting. I thought SMUs were mostly found to the south at present.
Guessing they used three cars this morning

Yeah it was a three car set. I think they put it on as an extra service for those going into the city for the Dawn Service as the next train after it was more than an hour behind and it was also stopping all stations (usually the Redcliffe Peninsula line does express from Northgate to Bowen Hills with a stop at Eagle Junction).

Screen cap of a video I took yesterday at Wellington Point Station

I reckon this morning’s Dawn Service runs were three six car IMU/SMUs split up and used as three car across all the lines. I wonder when they snuck back home though as Cleveland had no train for the 6.11am service when I passed it at 4.50am

QSBS closure from 9pm tonight with alternative stops at KGS. As usual, no signage or timetable changes to reflect, just the service update.

Photo of Torrens Creek station in North Queensland on the Inlander. A goods train is parked at the station for unknown reason. The station is unstaffed and very basic, being a short platform long enough to fit just under one stainless steel passenger carriage. The station is not regularly used and services are very limited, usually once a week but due to service cuts, is currently suspended.
