I took these photos back in 2024. The top one is a Waratah at Central Station going to Olympic Park (Coldplay Concert Service).
The Second photo is one of a V set at Katoomba on the return trip from the Blue Mountains (if your willing to get up early, like hiking and have a whole spare day on your hands, then I would highly recommend). The train trip to Katoomba from Central is about 2 & a half hours.
Frequency is terrible though, every 1 to 2 hours depending on time of day and I remember the return train in particular being quite empty until we got to around Blacktown area.
Whilst I was down there, I also rode the Metro.
