Here is the recording from my interview on Mornings with Steve Austin last Thursday.
Here’s a complete screen-grab of the interview last Friday too.
“Transit” app, which is my go to app for seeing nearby departures, high refresh rate for real time position and journey planner suggestions (vs using anytrip for trip details) is running a promo in response to poor launch of new TransLink app and giving 6 months free of their premium version.
Although not yet available in the App store on Android. Maybe will be from midnight or tomorrow?
Nor on the apple app store either as far as I can tell…
Nah, they’ve been advertising “new features” on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and other sites for weeks when in reality the app hasn’t been updated for almost 5 months now.
Yet I just checked recent updates in play store , but it must have been just a security update of the App.
Five months without updates! Makes you wonder if TMR has ultimately decided to abandon the Siemens codebase in its entirety.
Fun fact about using the translink app on iOS: if you use Liquid Glass theming for your icons on your device, the app will simply show itself as a blank square.
Something they should’ve known for MONTHS before iOS 26 was released.
Just to keep tabs on the official app’s status: it’s now six months since the last update (2.2.4).
I had the misfortune of registering a new Go-Card this afternoon.
I forgot how clunky the go card system is.
Absolutely fantastic once it’s registered and working but it’s a struggle to get there.
I use this app. It’s pretty good. You can use it anywhere in Australia, and it also works for some of the more major cities in New Zealand and the U.S. too. Alternatively I also use Apple Maps too on Public Transport mode.
Yeah I use it as well (beta tester, also) and it’s great.
Where do I find said email if they sent it out?
