Queensland rail has released virtual tours for the NGR and IMU 160 series trains to help those with disabilities familiarise themselves with the trains prior to travelling on them. Seems like a good idea, although they’ll need to do it for the rest of the fleet.

The state’s rail operator has launched new accessibility tools to help people with disability plan their trips.
The new features include interactive virtual tours of trains, carriage layouts, accessible maps, station descriptions, and a detailed how-to guide on Queensland Rail’s website.
The virtual tours of Queensland trains — including new generation rollingstock (NGR) and the upgraded interurban multiple units (IMU) 160 series — have been described by Queensland Rail as “pinpoint accurate”.
The immersive experience allows people to hop on a train virtually and go down the aisle, with key features marked out and described.
