Buranda Station to reopen after major upgrade

When banyo will reopen? Originally it was gonna Q4 last year but nnow its almost Q3.
It opened a couple of weeks ago I believe.
Banyo station reopened on Monday 26 May 2025.

Some photo’s from my trip to Buranda this evening. Loving the water fountains. Still needs the information displays installed though. The station locality information sign is also outdated now.

The busway platforms should be renumbered to 3/4 (or A/B) to avoid confusion with the rail ones.
That should also be applied maybe at Roma Street, with underground platforms being 1/2 and busway ones as A/B.
Actually very good point. Buranda is a weird edge case in this instance. The Boggo Road busway platform numbers are 5/6. Roma Street is 1/2, and I believe the underground CRR platforms will be 11/12.
Buranda should be renumbered!

In cases where rail stations also have busway platforms I’d argue the latter ones should use letters instead.
It’s gonna look really weird if Boggo Rd underground opens with their platforms numbered to 7/8. The same will happen to Woolloongabba!
South Bank too should have unique platform numbers.

RaTLR has plans to renumber more bus station platforms. Watch this space

Been trying it as a wheelchair user, Platform 1 is actually several inches too high, so you still need the ramp to get off (NGR), where the platform is higher than the step of the train.
Not great.
Also, no ticket machine on Platform 1.
