Disruption Management (Events, Planned Closures, Track Work, etc...)

Reddit discussion with a bit more insight on this morning’s incident:

A cancellation and a delay due to train faults on the Beenleigh line this morning. Also, the Translink social media person mustn’t have had their morning coffee yet!

What are the odds a second busway closure happened for the second day in a row

They should really print the dates the railbus posters apply to if they’re going to put them up days early.

Do they re-use them, though? Maybe have a sticker with the dates. The new one can be applied over the old that way.

That’s what QR do at the stations. A corflute template sign with printed pages stuck on for the time and dates of upcoming closure.

It doesn’t look so great but has the information at least.

Signalling issues at Carseldine have caused trains to be backed up as far as Narangba and Mango Hill so far this morning

If only we had some kind of transport corridor, perhaps to the northwest of the city, that could provide redundancy at times like this

There was a southbound Milton train sitting at Carseldine as I pulled into work this morning, this explains why!

This issue might carry over into the afternoon peak - still not resolved.

Gosh if only this was the regular express service instead of mAnLy tO mUrRariE

The express running in peak direction saves precious little time and adhoc expressing like this in counter peak leaves a 30 minute service gap for skipped stations, which includes many busy/major stations when only stopping at Cannon Hill.

If only they could use expresses like this or similar rather than the mediocre Manly-Murrarie express service anyone traveling far is subject to
