I’ve been dreaming of a complete redesign of Caboolture for a long time both for transit and as an urban renewal project for the middle of town.
I’m thinking elevated platforms (250m like the existing platforms which were built with the Sunlander in mind), with ground level walk-through concourse to enable easy east-west pedestrian movement through the area, 4 rail platforms and an integrated bus station for the numerous major centres it would serve, removing that road bridge on Lower King St and generally redesigning the area to be much more people-focused. Moving the stabling capacity to Elimbah would be an enabling project and provides opportunities for transit-oriented development as part of the design.

Will admit as someone who has used the station many times before, Cabbo is crying out for an upgrade.
That said removing King Street bridge will be super disruptive
I lived on Edward St for a few years towards the end of university (this was more than 10 years ago) and always felt the railway line and road overbridge was like a big barricade that just cut the place in half.
Too much of the middle of town was dedicated to street-level parking too. It could be so much more appealing to visitors if properly redesigned.
Are the E ink real time arrival displays (PIDS) working or not on the bus network? I have found on a few occasions that the real time information is not as real time as I would expect. I have had buses arrive later than the display says is supposed to arrive, and had buses arrive before an earlier scheduled bus to arrive.
So I just use my app on my phone, as it is more real time and even tracks the bus so I can pace my walking to match ETA. I just wish it and think it would also be cool if it had an option for a fixed schedule like the traditional bus timetable but in an e ink format, which would be helpful for those without mobile phones or older passengers.

My experience with one of the Adelaide Street ones is that it has been as accurate as any other info display. My bus turned up in line with what was displayed on the board. There might be a little jostling between two buses if they are coming in at exactly the same time, but even then it has remained reasonably accurate.

Just got to Cultural Centre Station and found that all the PID displays are down. Of all the stations for this to happen to, Cultural Centre is probably the worst.
There were also a group of 6 offices from the QPS’ Protective Services group on the platform at Mater Hill. I don’t often see them out on the public transport network.

I feel like this perfectly summarises what’s wrong with Translink at the moment. Cultural centre is a major stop used by so many visitors and locals, all PIDs being out of service just shouldn’t happen, and if it does happen it should be an immediate fix, not what’s presumably going to be a “just leave it til monday, she’ll be right”.
Same with things such as real time outages, lack of investment/support in their app, customer service, even their community engagement seems to be suffering, basic ‘core’ functions of a public transport agency that they shouldn’t be struggling with.
In the case of the PIDs, sure it might just be an electrical issue that knocked them all offline at once… but should that even be able to happen at a flagship bus station in an olympic city? I feel for any visiting tourists who already struggle to navigate our insanely huge bus network.

Very much skeptical that any BTQers are in town currently, but a Redcliffe service is using P10.

New/replaced tracks at Thorneside? They look different
Those sleepers aren’t a style I’m familiar with. Don’t QR use grey concrete ones?
Composite - which are preferred for turnouts and similar.

Central has PIDs by line now. I couldn’t get a photo of it but where each colour big list is it transitions to next services for that line rather than platform
New signage at Boggo Road

Always a good trip when the NGR audio system is offline so only the guard does station announcements
NGR has one offline this evening - 5.05pm from Birkdale inbound
not an old man but…
Can TL/QR pretty please do something about vaping on board services? It stinks out the train or bus and is illegal but nobody does anything
Swear it’s gotten worse lately.

I’ve discovered the shared Gold Coast Line/Airport Line printable timetable that’s on the Translink website doesn’t have Hope Island listed, but the standalone printable version for the Gold Coast Line on the Translink website does.
No idea if it’s just a website thing or if it’s the same at the stations.
Impeccable job by Translink.
