It really is becoming a crap show!
It looks like IT or Marketing hasnāt been given the instruction to remove the old timetable from the TransLink website. The new timetable is there, it isnāt a Gold Coast line only timetable, just has been named that way to separate it from the old timetable (which should be removed).
Wonder what physical timetables are in place at the stations⦠I donāt frequent Gold Coast enough (and dont use Airport) to know.
Theyāre currently useless anyway, at least during peak ( and for the next 16 days on the Beenleigh/Gold Coast lines).
I think airport still has the same (contractual obligations) and Gold Coast is the same (or minor cuts at best in peak)
The cuts for the Gold Coast line have been minor.
- AM peak: two trains, both being City & Doomben
- PM peak: three trains, platform sweepers starting at Bowen Hills
140 is really busy or suffering from track closures. Bus full just went through Mater Hill
A lot of southside routes get extra busy during trackwork. 130, 140, 150, and their associated rockets, 555, and pretty much all the Logan<>City routes. Maybe not the 569, not saying it doesnāt, but I donāt think Iāve ever caught it.
M1 traffic gridlock at 2pm on a school holiday!! I feel bad for all the Gold Coast Kinetic railbuses.
I think Iāll go to the pub for the meantime.
Just another day on the southside M1.
In the end I had dinner with some friends and got on the 9:20pm R787 to Helensvale from Eagle Junction that got orders to shoot non-stop to the Goldy.
Scheduled arrival of 10:40pm⦠Actual arrival at 10:15p!
Love a bus driver who can put some pedal to the floor⦠was he a 555 regular? ![]()
Incredible how quick it is when thereās no traffic or very light
I remember one when a kid on my train was vaping and it set off the smoke alarms causing the train to stop. On the Redcliffe line, a few years ago now. Lucky it was during the afternoon and not in the morning peak (or evening peak for that matter). Everyone was peed off with this kid and I donāt blame them.
Manly station now has a wheelchair accessible sign next to the platform 1 sign where the accessible boarding point is
Issues on a metro this evening, the ticketing readers are out of order and stuck on the please wait screen.
Metro 9022
Stinker of an evening on the Cleveland line, trains delayed by 10-12 minutes both directions as a flow on effect from earlier issues in the Manly-Cleveland section. Just spent 5 minutes dwelled at Manly.
Saw this get installed at Birkdale station today. I donāt know what it is - looks like a power point of sorts. Wonder what itās for.
Spotted a older style sign when I was out on the 135 earlier today. Iām not sure how many stops across Brisbane there are that still have the older style sign or even the flagpole style sign (excluding the district only stops since most of those still have the flagpole style sign).
I caught an M1 service on Saturday that had this same issue. Didnāt get the vehicle number though.
