Iâm impressed with the length QR are going to deter cyclists instead of reinstating station staff. Moving the station map to add an extra no cycling sign. Birkdale station btw

Iâve been hearing anecdotes that a lot of the Citycats in the evenings get so popular now that theyâve been leaving South Bank with many patrons unable to board. 30 minutes until the next boat. Can anyone also substantiate? 
Iâm also not that surprised, really. The Citycat has a max capacity of 170 people.

I think thatâs the case in Montreal. It would definitely speed up the drop-off/pick-up process at each station.

That would work if going from one busway stop to another but what if the person is going somewhere that isnât on the busway?

All street buses would still have on-board ticket readers. Only Metro vehicles could get away with it
Any linear lead stop situation should have on-platform ticket readers. So all busway stations and stops, on-street quickway stations like Victoria Point Central and lets say all BUZ stops on the Mains Rd corridor for example.
If you get on at Griffith Uni you would tap on with the on-platform reader, speeding up boarding, and then when you disembark at your local stop at like Rochedale Gardner Rd, you would tap off with an on-board reader.

Iâve heard its possible to âfare-evadeâ on the Airport line if you use a certain contactless payment strategy or use a recently bought go-card that youâve topped up with $5. I could be wrong though.
I know one of my friends whom did the Airport line for 50c. He went to the Domestic Airport station with his school uniform, loitered around, and took the next train back to Eagle Junction. Apparently, some officers there werenât happy about him not paying the $23 fare , but they knew it wasnât worth their time fare-checking on a high school kid.
I mean, isnât that technically legal under TL as he never left the station never âtapping offâ and merely transferring

I thought so too. Maybe the only way to fare-evade is by jumping over the gates at International/Domestic stationsâ when the guards arenât looking

Iâve just been watching the ads on the screen in an NGR.
Apparently, the currently Queensland government is claiming responsibility (âDelivering for Queenslandâ) for:
- Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3
- Smart Ticketing
- Logan & Gold Coast Faster Rail
- European Train Control System
- âThe Waveâ
Okay, Iâll give them that last one, especially the idiotic bus-metro section, but every other project on this list was started by the former government.

Cavendish Road level crossing seems to be stuck down. Iâm on a 185IB that got diverted via Temple/Thomas St.
Thereâs 4x 185OB stuck in the level crossing queue so over an hour without service on Cavendish Rd.
8 pax got on this bus at the Yarrabin stop and by the looks 20-30 odd waiting on the Stanley 2xx IB stop and a few at the Milsom stop. My 185 didnât take anyone from the Stanley stop which isnât timetabled but I feel probably should have in the circumstances and given Milsom was skipped.
Trains also seem suspended.
