They do, but there likely isn’t a newer model that supports the end-of-life Go Cards, so we won’t see new ones while Go Cards remain in use.

Speaking of, is there anymore news on those “translink cards” we are supposed to be getting once the go card in phased out?
Seems to be quite the delay for southbound buses that go via the Captain Cook Bridge due to three lanes being closed. In situations where the lanes are closed would it be better for the buses to go via the busway (without stopping at the stops between Buranda/Woollongabba and Queen St/North Quay) to avoid being severely delayed?

I believe that’d be the right way to go, and it already does get implemented with the 125/175/185/204/340 when the Captain Cook Bridge becomes gridlock. A 156 service is doing its little detour via the SE busway as we speak..

I’m sure beyond the year 2030, we’ll see one lane on either side of the Captain Cook Bridge dedicated as an “Olympic lane” for bus priority. It’ll be good for all the rocket services as they can be easily delayed by 20-50 minutes just through that congestion alone.
Motorists will have to suck it up with one less lane, just like what happened in Sydney for their Olympics. All access into the City via motor-vehicle movements becomes restricted, with those choosing to use active or public transport being rewarded. Although, I can imagine that such Olympic lanes here will be made permanent due to significantly worse congestion by then.

I’m surprised that nothing has been said about what went on on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines. I read that there was some incident that required emergency services, but what was that incident in particular that cause these delays?
