Anyone seen this screen before? Usually I just see the X with “Out of Service”.

That’s the boot screen. Most issues with the ticketing system can be resolved by (and I kid you not)… Turning the bus off and on again.

It seems to be really new, Garden City machines still on the old UI

Can confirm I used one of the machines at Carseldine this afternoon and they don’t have this either.
Also, what in the world is that network map? It seems like it’s been custom-made for the machines

Any chance it is more responsive?
Very unlikely as these ticket machines are still running on very old hardware. Not sure if translink/TMR will ever want to replace them with a newer model provided by Cubic.

Cleveland Line seems to have it, busways don’t and other lines maybe coming soon. Saw some at stops out the window plus Buranda
It also doesn’t appear to have Pimpama or Hope Island stations..

The machines were missing Varsity Lakes for a fair period after it opened in 2009.
With permanent 50c fares I don’t know why they bother. There’s no way to guarantee a paper ticket purchased results in a passenger getting on or off at any particular station.
It’s been a long time since I looked at a non-QR AVVM, but I’m not sure those are actually set up for this.

Anyone know if the new ticketing machine interfaces have rolled out on more of the QR network at least? Wondering if TL have a timeline for this
Springfield or Ipswich or both lines have the new ticket machine UI, saw it at Indooroopilly.
EDIT: Went to Springfield Central, saw the new interface there. Can confirm Springfield Line now also has it. No clue if Ipswich/Rosewood does.
Runcorn had the new interface yesterday. Loganlea doesn’t have it this morning. EFTPOS is still unavailable.
Guessing Beenleigh has it but Gold Coast line stations don’t.
Lines with the new UI:
- Cleveland
- Springfield
- Beenleigh
- Ipswich (maybe - haven’t seen past Darra)
Some inner city stations also seem to have it. I recall seeing the new UI at Albion on the way to work last week.

Maybe a northside line also picked it up over the weekend?
This was late last week. I’ve been in Sydney the last 3 days 
I’m wondering if the idea of a single one way ticket is rather moot now, might as well just have a 2 hour ticket that will allow unlimited use for 2 hours for 50c?

Redcliffe line has the new ticketing UI, seen at Virginia. Petrie still has the old UI so guessing that SC doesn’t have it
