Yes but would they still want it when Beenleigh is 600 meters closer and can use Gold Coast express trains
Current holmview is barely justifiying its existence and Beenleigh is set to end up half as far away as its current like 1km distance away
They’ve made the choice to move the station further west. This actually makes it pretty much center between Beenleigh and Edens Landing Station. It’s most likely going to be in the catchment area of Northern Holmview and Eastern Edens Landing, which could probably yield similar ridership to the new Trinder Park station. Plus, why remove a station that is well appreciated by the community when there is so many other stations on the network with lower riderships that still exist?
Pushing it further west has the problem of arguably making it even less popular because there is arguably “more” in western Beenleigh than eastern Eden’s landing especially when also considering Eden’s landing
And holmview is a consideration because it needs to be rebuilt for GCLFR if it’s not going to be closed, sure other stations do have lower ridership (though not many) but they don’t have to be rebuilt
