Yeah and also weather proof. I can see these baking in the sun or being drenched in the storms. Surely to vandal proof it we could put some protective bars over it.

Since when were they showing bus interchange icons on the train station PIDs? That would be very handy for those who often transfer from buses to trains, considering that the bus network doesn’t really align with the train network.
Edit: unfortunately, there is no info for bus interchanges at Carseldine and Zillmere, stations where passengers can transfer to the 330 and 340 respectively.
It was only showing because railbus but that does make me think we should be showing for stations that are served by a feeder bus route as well or those that are a short walk away.
Like Toombul, Caboolture, Buranda, Boggo Road, etc
Will add I have never seen a bus icon on a Queensland Rail PID in my life before then.
It looks like they replaced a NGR icon.
Secondly, don’t tell the LNP or all our PIDs will be full of buses!
Took a closer pic of the new Airport Line PIDs. Unfortunately, they aren’t LED screens but HD colour dot matrix screens.
I didn’t see any in the terminals so you have to rely on your phone and third party apps. Yet, it would be good to have some screens for the Airtrain as well as Skygate and terminal bus departures in the terminals as well.
Why can’t we just standardise PIDS across the network
Airport stations are privately owned and operated
Yes I know but still, you would still think they woukd
When you posted that you had created them, it was so crazy because I got my copy or your creation through a QR employee ![]()
Make sure you don’t forget to check your tamagotchi at the same time…
I was out at Fruitgrove today due to the track closures and there aren’t any PIDs at Fruitgrove either. Completely unacceptable at a station with ample power.
In regards to PIDs and the airport runs (in train and terminal buses) it would be good to include connecting flight information and arrivals as well as corresponding terminal information.
Other countries do this within China and Europe I noticed.
It can cycle through from next stop information to connecting flight information in the same way metro buses show points of interest and connection information at Cultural Centre…
I think this is a really good idea to address a genuine pain point! The example from Alderley is a good starting point
Would you have these at Boggo Road, Roma Street and Albion when Cross River Rail starts. (PID next train to Central in XX mins and platform number).
I saw a few of the Gympie Rd stops in Chermside with the new e-ink display but I’m not too sure when they were installed. And has there been any updates in regards to stops around the city getting e-ink displays?
In Jan sometime I suspect, as they were there last week and were in operation.
They were installed around mid Jan based on my memory.
How are you getting all these pid templates.
And more importantly why am I getting Sydney and Melbourne PID screens but not Queensland rail ones.
